Getting started
Which apps does it work with?
Any app that lets you choose a webcam. VCam Studio adds a camera called “VCam Studio Camera” to Windows, so it works in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Discord, Slack, OBS Studio, browsers and more.
What do I need to run it?
A PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) and a webcam. Any reasonably recent laptop or desktop is fine.
Is it hard to learn?
No. VCam Studio starts in Starter mode with just six buttons, and a friendly tour sets up your camera, microphone and first scene. Most people are live within minutes.
Do I need a green screen or special camera?
No. Your existing webcam is perfect. VCam Studio arranges what you already have into professional-looking scenes.
Trial & licences
How does the free trial work?
Download the app and use every feature free for your first 20 hours of use. No card and no account are needed. When you buy, enter your licence key and carry on — your scenes stay exactly as they are.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and the licence is yours. It includes 12 months of updates (Personal) or 24 months (Studio). After that you can keep using your version for ever, or renew updates if you want new features.
Can I use it on more than one PC?
Personal covers up to 2 PCs, Studio up to 3. You can move a licence to a new PC any time from the app (Help → Licence).
Can I use Personal for work?
Yes — if you’re an individual, including freelancers and sole traders. Organisations such as companies, schools and churches should choose Studio.
What’s your refund policy?
If VCam Studio isn’t right for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes, in the UK and EU the price you see includes VAT. In the US and elsewhere, sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Our reseller Paddle handles tax and sends your receipt and invoice.
Who is Paddle?
Paddle.com is our online reseller and merchant of record. It processes your payment securely, handles VAT and sales tax, and sends your receipt. Your bank statement will show PADDLE.NET* VCAMSTUDIO.
What happens after my updates period?
VCam Studio keeps working for ever. If you’d like new features, you can renew 12 months of updates any time from the Renew updates page — it never renews automatically.
Privacy & support
Do you see or store my video?
No. Your video is processed on your PC and goes only to the apps you choose. We never receive it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. VCam Studio works without an internet connection. Activating a licence needs a connection once, and offline activation finishes by itself when you’re back online.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes, in Expert mode. Remote Control lets you switch scenes from a phone or tablet browser on the same network.

Press F1 in the app for the searchable guide, or email us. Studio licences get priority support.
VCam Cloud
Do I need VCam Cloud?
No. VCam Studio is complete without it. Everything in Personal and Studio works fully offline, for ever. VCam Cloud is an optional add-on for extras that genuinely need the cloud.
Why is VCam Cloud a subscription when the app isn’t?
Live subtitles, translation, the AI Director, broadcasting relays and sync all run on servers that cost money every month you use them. The app runs on your PC, so you pay once. Cloud runs on ours, so it’s monthly or yearly.
What happens if I cancel VCam Cloud?
The cloud extras stop at the end of the period you’ve paid for. Your licence, scenes and settings stay exactly as they are, and synced setups stay on your PCs as local files.
When is VCam Cloud available?
It’s in development. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you once, when it opens. Studio buyers get the first month free.
Does it work with Personal?
Yes. VCam Cloud works with either licence. Cloud sync of company setups is most useful with Studio.
